Sword beans are a legume native to Southeast Asia and widely cultivated in southern China, India and Southeast Asia. They were introduced to Japan at the beginning of the Edo period and are famously cultivated in Kagoshima Prefecture. Sword beans grow to 3-5cm in size, and the pods can grow to 10-30cm, with larger ones reaching up to 50cm. They are named tozu (sword beans) because of their resemblance to a hatchet or sword. Recently, roasted sword beans have been consumed as tea, helping to maintain health. - Usage / Dose
- When boiling in a kettle

Simmer for about 5 minutes
Put one bag in boiling water, bring to a simmer and drink.
Cold water brewing
400ml
Approx. 30 minutes
Put one bag in a water pot, pour in water, place in the fridge to chill and drink.
For iced tea
After boiling, cool the water, transfer to a water pot or plastic bottle and chill in the fridge before drinking
For Teapot
Put one bag in a teapot, add the amount of hot water you want to drink, and pour into a cup or teacup to drink. - Precautions for storage and handling
